As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in assisting dedicated teaching staff in creating engaging and enriching experiences for a reception class, we require dedication to providing exceptional education and fostering a love for learning in students. You will also be required to work on a 1:1 basis with students who have learning difficulties.
Position: Part-Time Reception Teaching Assistant
Location: Lambeth, London
Contract: Part-time, Temporary (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality educational activities tailored to meet the needs of reception students.
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Help prepare and organise learning materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and development of each child.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within the EYFS framework is necessary
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is desirable.
