At Tempest Resourcing, we have a great opportunity to work with children in Primary Schools in North and East London. You would be a key point of contact for learners with mental health needs to turn to for advice and support.
In light of the current on-going Coronavirus pandemic, the government and Primary Schools are placing an emphasis on children and young people’s mental health. This will be a vital issue for schools to address once children return to school. Ahead of this, our client schools are looking for individuals who have recognised qualifications in Mental Health, Social Work or any relevant professional qualifications. Prior experience of working in schools is desirable but not essential. You will require excellent team working skills and a high level of self-motivation.
The successful candidate will
Ensure the voices of children are heard
Ensure any planned changes by the school are implemented
Work in alignment with the class teachers, SLT and external services
Enjoy building and maintaining relationships
Be passionate about working with young children
Have empathy, compassion and active listening
