A fantastic opportunity to join one of the country's leading schools in the Bursars office as a Finance Assistant (Expenditure)
The Finance Assistant will be responsible to the Assistant Bursar (Finance). The purpose of the post is to assist in the day to day running of the Bursar’s Office and to provide financial and administrative support.
ï· Maintain supplier details in the purchase ledger.
ï· Log incoming invoices,
ï· Manage BACs payments
ï· Liaise with budget holders for approval of invoices.
ï· Reconciling statements from suppliers.
ï· Prepare monthly reconciliation of the purchase ledger.
ï· Dealing with queries from staff and suppliers
ï· Daily banking and balancing of cash receipts.
ï· Reconciliation of credit card statements, ensuring all receipts in support of purchases have been authorised.
ï· Preparation of monthly (approximately 10) bank reconciliations.
ï· Dealing with petty cash requests from all staff.
ï· Preparation of monthly petty cash reconciliations.
ï· Posting nominal ledger journals.
ï· Prepare monthly reconciliation and expense summaries of the nominal ledger.
ï· Preparing monthly reports for budget holders (from our MIS and/or Excel).
-Educated to A Level, ideally with a financial qualification
-Purchase Ledger experience
-Proficient in a range of IT applications, including spreadsheets and databases
-Organised with great time management
-Excellent communication skills
