Tempest Resourcing’ Support department are currently working with a Primary School based in South Croydon who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join them from on a temporary basis from January 2021 or sooner.

Duties

  • Day to day management of the finance operations and accounting issues;
  • Ensuring compliance with Accounting Policies, Procedures and Financial Regulations
  • Be responsible for financial administration such as placing orders, invoicing, preparing cheques, issuing receipts etc Assist the Head teacher in the preparation and monitoring of the budget, and advise on any important budgetary considerations
  • Produce and evaluate financial reports as required
  • Attend relevant management/Governor committee meetings to offer advice as required.
  • Deal with budget queries, advising on solutions where appropriate 

    • The ideal applicant will have

  • Experience of working in a school 
  • Real passion for working within an education environment.
  • Experience utilising SAGE within a finance role.

    • Must

  • You must be an experienced FMS (SIMS Financial Package) 
  • Be available to start straight away 
  • Have a current DBS, we can help with this if you do not already have one.
  • Be within commutable distance of Croydon 

    • The successful candidate must be able to work well in a team, be approachable, friendly, helpful and have excellent communication skills.
